IT'S YOU FOR ME
From Karen
Hi Alan
After seeing your dance at Marks workshop and learning it with Michelle at Pakefield I took it to my 3 evening classes last week and it went really well. We are dancing it with Michelles sound effects which makes it more fun! Going to teach it at my friends morning classes this week and I'm sure it will be a success.
Good luck - have already voted for it in the charts.

TAKING BACK MY LOVE
From Lisa & Paul Thurley
Then it was time for Alan Haywood who was at the event, Alan planned to teach his new waltz but I asked him to teach his dance TAKING BACK MY LOVE which although I have not got round to teaching is getting good reviews around the Beds., Bucks., & Herts., area. I am glad he did this dance because it had one of the best reports of the weekend.
HOLD ME LOVE ME
From Diana Ward - SF Bay Area - US
Hold Me Love Me by Alan Haywood to Make Love to Me by Anne Murray, taught this to both daytime and night time groups and they loved it, what a great dance to fantastic music...good job ALAN!!
TAKING BACK MY LOVE
From Millie D. Dusha in the US~
Alan - my name is Millie Dusha and I am a line dance instructor and DJ in the San Francisco, CA, Bay Area. I wanted to let you know that I taught your new dance "Taking Back My Love" at all three of my intermediate classes and they all loved it. A "Top 10" favorite!! The dance really flows well with the music. I have recommended the dance to other line dance instructors in the area. Just thought that you would like to hear that we love the dance. ~ Millie

This was a last minute teach as we wanted to suprise Alan & Fi by dancing it with them Saturday evening, It went really well, nice dance. Nothing difficult, but enough to keep you thinking. Lovely track too. Well done Alan and Good Luck with it.
Well Done Alan.
I taught this last night so that we could get up and demo it with you both tonight. (Hope this was ok with you)
It's a nice little dance and we all enjoyed learning it. You'll be pleased to hear that I've been asked to teach it again next week. Hope it does well for you. Good Luck

MUSIC IN THE AIR
Taken from World Linedance Newsletter 10 Dec 08 - Forty Arroyo
Chor by Alan & Fiona Haywood
Just LOVE this dance. Music is great (Give me night by George Benson) and the footwork is perfectly married to the song. 56 cts, 4W, A bridge, a tag with a restart - but not to worry - the music guides you. These days, if the music doesn't take me there, I won't go on my own - LOL. Trust me - you'll like this one.
COUPE DE VILLE
Taken from The Beat (New Zealand) Magazine
Alan and Gaye's dance is gaining momentum in the UK and you may have noticed in the Danzbuddies article last month they are already enjoying the dance. You will notice in the note at the bottom of the sheet, if you have a track you like for a split floor then you can just take off the the last 8 counts and make the dance a 64 count one... it's the best of both worlds.
WALKING BACK TO HAPPINESS
Taken from BWDA Magazine
Just had to do this one for the music alone. Brought back memories from my youth - Helen is the same age as me and I remember the track so well from my school days. Nice little dance which the class enjoyed.

We had special guests Alan & Fiona at our class last nite they taught 2 new dances first up was "Even If" (which as you know is our eurovision entry) this dance went down really well with our intermediate up class it was a nice quick teach nothing to difficult so everyone could really enjoy it even my dad LOL, next Alan taught "I'm Over You" a great dance to a lovely track, this also went down really well and when I put the music back on later they could all remember both dances so that is always a good sign that they like a dance. If you are looking for a nice improver dance check out Alan's "Just Perfection" they love it and they can singalong as well. Thank you, LIsa Thurley x.

Lovely dance (& music).... the mistakes were a teeny bit entertaining. As was my mistake in my "Toy Soldier" demo at Kims... best to own up to these things and laugh ... otherwise some smart alec is bound to notice (as my class did lol!). Will give this one a whirl in the living room this week luv Michael xx

Saw a demo of this dance when it was "work in progress" in Alan & Fi's front room and it looks like a really good dance, the tune is catchy and the dance seemed to fit the tune well and flowed really nicely. Give it a go.
OOH MISS GRACE
This review was published in The Beat (New Zealand's Magazine)
Written in July 2007, this dance has already been a success in the lcoal clubs in the UK. The song needs no introduction ahd has just the right mix of steps for the beginner/improver dancer. The dance really does go with most 32 count music. A big hit.
SPOOKY
This review was published in the June edition of Linedancer Magazine With just a single restart, at a very obvious point (and making this a 3-wall dance), the flow of this dance makes it seem somewhat less than the 64 counts it actually is. It's a really smooth track by Peter Grant and the Stop/Hold/Pivot/Hold sequences are quite dramatic. Alan had the distinction of being awarded second place for this dance last year at the Chicago event - Windy City. It's easy to see why.

JIVE ACES
Taught Jive Aces on Friday to both my Improver & intermediate, was very well received by both sections, like the jive music, easy steps with 3 restarts, music does help on these, well done Alan Haywood. Nell From: Derbyshire
SPOOKY
This review has been taken from the Dance Reviews page on Peter Metelnick and Alison Biggs' website: Spooky – Alan Haywood This is a fun dance to an excellent version of the classic song by Peter Grant. The dance is really only 2.5 walls long because of the one re-start. We’ve now taught this to all our intermediate classes and it’s a really good dance to wind down with. If you’ve not tried it, give it a go you won’t be disappointed. It would be the perfect dance to do around Hallowe’en! LOL!
SPOOKY
This review has been published in Linedancer Magazine - December 2006 edition - thanks Derek! "It's not too hard a dance but certainly one that you have to think about. The 2nd (9 o'clock wall) seems to catch everyone out. Lots of shuffles in the first 32 counts and of course the 3 wall description is most unusual. This because there is a restart on the 2nd wall" Derek Cartwright - Ponderosa LDC, Liverpool
ARE YOU PROUD
Are You Proud, by Alan Haywood, music is to Do I Make You Proud by American Idol winner Taylor Hicks, night club 2 step rhythm, very, very nice and well liked, I just taught this last week here in this area but I'm sure it will become popular Evelyn Khinoo, ekhinoo@sbcglobal.net
ARE YOU PROUD
This charity event was held in Over, Cambs, and as I used to live there before moving to Oxfordshire I decided to go along and I was pleased to meet up with a few 'old' friends. I really enjoyed the event and Fiona, Alan, Jo & John made me very welcome. Of the dances taught my favourite was "Are You Proud" (music "Do I Make You Proud" by Taylor Hicks) choreographed by Alan Haywood. Lovely dance to a beautiful piece of music. Michelle taught this dance on Monday at Peace-Train, after seeing Alan demo it at Kim Ray's workshop recently. It is a lovely dance to great music. Alan has written some interesting step combinations and the step, hold, click bit is awesome! The dance fits the music beautifully and you can put a lot of styling and attitude to it. Highly recommended! Barbara
Kim Ray
I also taught this dance to my Tuesday intermediate class this week after seeing
Alan and Fiona demo it at my recent workshop. I found it a very easy teach to this
level and the class enjoyed the dance. A very good mainstream dance. Well done
Alan and good luck with it.

SPOOKY
Spooky, by Alan Haywood, really nice dance done to a familiar song of course, so you can sing along! Picking up in popularity Evelyn Khinoo, ekhinoo@sbcglobal.net
Hi, I would like to comment on the dance that you choreographed *spooky* I LOVE it. I am not a professional dancer, I only go line dancing once, maybe twice a week sometimes. but do enjoy it...This dance hasn't been taught at any of the clubs I've been to yet...But I am definitely going to recommend it. I pulled the step sheet off and taught it to myself, and found it very enjoyable to learn. I learnt it to the Dusty Springfield track. I really do hope that it becomes popular. Good luck with it...best wishes From: Nikki x
NOT MISSING YOU
Great to meet you and Alan and I also want to say how much I really enjoyed the event as well. I also want to say that Alan's dance "Not Missing You" was very popular indeed and went down really very well - a very nice dance indeed. From: Val Myers
ALL AROUND THE WORLD
Last week learnt ALL AROUND THE WORLD to a track to Andy Abraham (The dustbin man off X-Factor). Dance by Alan Haywood and I think it goes really well with the music and so did the Tuesday and Wednesday class this week.

DO YOU MEAN IT, IN THE DOGHOUSE, AIN'T NO MAN
Do You Mean I - When You Say You Love Me by Clay Aiken - 64 count Int.
This was indeed a great dance with an unusual timed ending - quite clever! I loved it. Could stay for a long time. In The Doghouse - Doghouse by Lonestar - 48 count, easier, happily danced and understood, quality choreography and a great entertainer. Also danced one of Alan's Ain't No Man Dina Carroll but then I loved this dance before Alan came to us! Great for the mod dancer.

I NEED HELP
On Wednesday I taught Alan Haywood's I NEED HELP (Crazy chick by Charlotte Church). I had played with Tina Argyle's 32 counter but thought the dance seemed a little short for the track so opted for Alan's 64 counter).
Unfortunately, I forgot to transfer the music from my mp3 player (which I left at home too) to CD so we practised the dance to "My heart's gonna roll" from Fever 2. We'll put the tag in next week! The dance is quite fast (and in this heat too!) but I think it's gonna be popular.

I NEED HELP
I just wanted to let you know that I reviewed "I Need Help" on the Linedancer Magazine site. I'm also sending notes to several instructors and hopefully they will try out the dance and share it with their classes. Another instructor here in Florida taught this to her class this week. This dance is one of the few that received a round of applause after the teach. That tells me it will be a keeper for my class. I've been to your website and will check back and be sure to look over Alan's new choreography.

MY FAVOURITE VIEW
Nice to hear from you. Well, I have taught it in Malaysia and they love it as they don't get to learn these type of dances. They find it very relaxing as they have been following Singapore dances and theirs are mostly funky and fast.

I NEED HELP
Recapped Alan Haywood's I NEED HELP (Crazy chick by Charlotte Church). Remember I didn't have the correct music last week? Well this week I did. It's a bit fast for this weather but the class managed OK. Let's see how long it lasts. They all stayed on the floor for it.

Just to let you know we had a great class Thursday night with Alan Haywood teaching his brand new dance "Do You Mean It" to a lovely track "When You Say You Love Me" by Clay Aiken this went down really well and I will be carrying this one on along with his dance "I Need Help" which was also well received once again a great night, thank you Lisa Thurley.

I did enjoy the evening. I'm glad you and Alan did too. It was great to meet you both and I really enjoyed Alan's dance.

HOLIDAY DREAMS
Holiday Dreams, by Alan Haywood, as Alan stated it does fit a number of different choices of music, the music i used was Precious Time by Van Morrison, fits perfectly to this music. Even though it's listed as a beginner it is also popular with the intermediates as well.Julie - jrebec30@aol.com
I NEED HELP
It's an excellent dance in my opinion. I'd never met Alan until he taught it at my club this week. I found him to be a very good teacher and very pleasant. And I genuinely thought the dance was great. I will definitely be teaching it at all my classes.

DO YOU MEAN IT
Alan and Fiona came to our social on Monday night and he taught this dance. it went down really well. so well that Tuesday night, some who had been there asked me to go over it again. ( a frantic phone call to my daughter to read me the steps again over the phone) and we had a full floor, every bum off the seat for the twice we danced it and again at the end of the night for the 3rd time. lots of i like this, so i taught it again tonight, and same result again smiling faces on the dance floor, people going home happy.

I NEED HELP
I Need Help-(Alan Haywood) A MUST do dance. 64 count, Int., easy steps but fast paced. One restart (my class hates restarts and tags, but I keep telling them they will get used to it and this one is easy to hear) Be sure and check this one out. Great job Alan!

DO YOU MEAN IT
Would like to thank Alan & Fiona for there kind words, it was nice to have you @ are club, they are a great bunch & i did thank them for making you so welcome. I asked to see if they wanted to learn "Do you Mean it" after you had demoed it last week, they did & I'm pleased to say it went down great, i personally love that track by Clay Aiken. Well done & hope to see you around soon. Kate. Ps you must get down to Bossy's one Sunday.
DO YOU MEAN IT
I also taught Do You mean it, while on a Mexican Vacation in Puerto Vallarta, it took a few times for the girls to get the timing (it is a tad fast for this group) but once they finally got it they liked it, one of the girls had just come from a Cruise in Hawaii and was taught the dance on the cruise ship by one of our local instructor's Sharon Emmett. I also taught it this week in my evening class they picked it up quite quickly however a couple of them were also on the cruise. We in the bay area are looking forward to doing the dance at our local venue's. If you haven't had a look at it yet be sure you do...Diana ward
DO YOU MEAN IT
Following Alan and Fiona Haywood's visit to Kate Potts Thursday class (KT's in Knypersley) last week and their demo of his dance "Do you mean it"; Kate taught the dance to the class this week. Took some of us a few tries to get the penultimate 8 counts right with the timing, but otherwise it went very smoothly. The music (When You Say You Love Me by Clay Aiken) is nice too. We did the dance a couple of times and then it got requested again later in the evening, so I guess people liked it!
Well done, Alan.
Regards,
Gary
I NEED HELP
I admire what you are doing to promote your new dance I Need Help... I was wondering if you could pass on a word doc of the step sheet.. or a pdf of the sheet... I have the music and would like to take a look and see what I can do with it here.. I teach a small group on Thursdays and we like to "test run" new dances out there and then introduce them to our local dance halls... be glad to see what I can do for you in this area.. I live in Ohio, USA...
Thank you..
